What if cultivated meat became a reality?

I fell in love with what cultivated meat could do for mankind.

The method for producing cultivated meat is attained by leveraging technologies that count on five factors: cells that compose the tissues, culture media, which is the source of energy for the cells, scaffolds to anchor the cells while they mature through the bioprocessing. And finally, the food science aspect which is the physical, biological, and chemical makeup of food.

Meatleo®, with cultivated beef meat, could make a significant contribution to society, addressing a huge need to improve animal welfare, substantially reduce greenhouse gases and increase food security (from sourcing to reducing zoonotic diseases risks). An opportunity such as I have rarely seen.

As an entrepreneur, I enjoy creating and building businesses. Building for the long term and creating to be sustainable. This is my commitment to Meatleo®.

Offering an animal protein, the way we like it, without what we don't like. I owe it to Léo, his generation and society (Léo is my wonderful 10-year-old boy). We have a responsibility to leave a world where our moral compass leads us to better treatment of animals, with meat production and consumption that is acceptable and sustainable for humans and mother nature.

The challenges ahead

It will take between three to five years before Meatleo can produce cultivated meat at an industrial scale level. This adventure has only just begun, and we know very well that offering a serious substitute for slaughterhouse meat is a colossal biological, engineering and food science challenge.

But thanks to visionary scientists, the level of interest for cultivated meat has never been greater and producing it for consumption, has never been closer. These pioneers have been working on it for more than 10 years. They are creators who ignited a strong movement that will greatly contributed to the emergence during the 2020s of an amazing novel food: cultivated meat.

Let me know, if you are interested in working together, you can write to me at pnormandin@meatleo.com. I would love to hear from you and what you could do for getting cultivated meat becoming the meat reference.
